Betaminic Pricing
The Betaminic service has an interesting pricing model. Firstly, setting up an account & using the Betaminic Builder tool to find, create & back test strategy ideas is completely free. Once you find a betting system that works you pay on a ‘per pick’ basis for any forthcoming selections that service might have. You buy picks in batches & the bigger the batch you buy, the lower the cost of an individual pick. The pick package options are as follows:

- Standard Pack – 100 Picks – 99.00
- Platinum – 250 Picks – 222.50
- Gold – 500 Picks – 395.00
- Professional – 1000 Picks – 690.00
- Premier – 2000 Picks – 1180.00
How quickly you consume these picks will depend on how many selections a system you create produces or how many systems you activate.
A Look At The Betamin Builder
The Betamin Builder is a web based tool that allows you to create football betting systems that turn a profit. The image below shows the format of this tool and the result of a particular system. The left hand menu allows you to set your variables. For example the leagues to include, the odds ranges & various different results streaks etc etc. Each time you add or change a variable the results for all past matches that met your criteria are shown.
It provides you with key data such as the P&L, the volume of monthly bets the system produces, the average odds & max drawn down. Max draw down is important as it highlights the historic worst run the system went on & allows you to determine the bank size needed to implement the system. It also provides nice P&L graphs so that you can quickly determine whether a strategy will grow your bank over time. It has to be said that there are no guarantees that past data will produce future profits but it is always better to bet with the data and not against it.
Another great feature is the System Aggregator tool. We are always told not to put all of our eggs in one basket. What System Aggregator does is shows the above results format but when you combine multiple systems. So lets say you create 5 systems of your own and follow 3 public systems, the aggregator will show you the P&L & Max Drawdown etc for all of those systems. Following multiple systems with low Max Draw Downs should produce fewer losing months overall.
To reiterate, all of this is free to use and you only start to pay when you want to receive the system picks before the games are played.
Getting Started
In testing Bataminic & the Betamin Builder we are testing whether backing a a system based on set selection filters that has produced profit in the past will make a profit in the future. For this test we are going to keep it extremely simple. We have selected a Public strategy that we like the look of, followed it in the Betamin Builder and integrated it with BF Bot Manager. This particular strategy back the draw only in the Match Odds market.
All of the bets are automated for us so we now have to let it run for 6 months and track the profits produced against the Betamin Builder.

The particular strategy that we are following has a max draw down figure of around 40 points so any bank used would need to allow for this. Also, paying for the service on a per pick basis is not cheap and so we will need to ensure that we are staking sufficiently to cover costs. It is expected that our chosen strategy will produce 360 selections over the 6 month review period and so we have purchased a Gold pack at 395 Euros. We will be using level stakes and betting 1.25% of our bank (£50). We need to make at least 8 points profit over the trial period cover our costs.

The selection volume continues to grow with 52 bets placed this month and a couple of points profit secured. One thing noted this month is that the Betaminic public strategy that we are following includes a few leagues not available on Betfair. We are sent the pick and pay for it but our automation can’t bet on it. Whilst this is a very small percentage of the picks it is worth mentioning. You could avoid this if you wanted to by duplicating the public strategy to one of your own and removing the leagues unavailable on Betfair.

4.23 points profit achieved in the opening month across 30 bets. In terms of receiving & placing the bets this has been the easiest trial to date with the whole thing automated by BF Bot Manager. One thing that jumped out in the first month is that Betaminic sends a minimum price to BF Bot Manager & if the available odds are shorter than this the selection is skipped. But you still pay for this selection.
I contacted Betaminic support to ask if the system results shown by the Betamin builder includes all selections sent or only those that met the minimum odds stated. The response from support took around 24 hours which is good & was very detailed. The answer was that the results are for ALL selections advised disregarding the minimum odds value. If you want your results to closer match those shown by the Betamin Builder you must set BF Bot Manager to ignore minimum odds. Its up to you.
