Getting Started

Once you have an active subscription to the service you can see the selections by selecting “Account Dashboard” at the top of the main Tipstrr menu (left pane) and you will also receive them by email.
All of Jimmy’s Golf tips are each way bets. An each way bet is effectively half your stake on the outright win and have your stake on the place market. Bookmakers offer a varying number of places depending on the tournament and the offers they have at the time. Whilst the exchanges do offer each way markets, generally the liquidity is poor. What we will be doing for this Jimmy’s Golf Review is placing 1 point on the win and 1 point on each of the place markets (top 5, top 10 & top 20). From this we will be able to understand which exchange place market produces the best profits.

All of the provided Jimmy’s Gold results are based on bets placed at £10 each way. For this trial we will be using a £1K bank and 1 point being the equivalent of 1% of that bank (£10). As stated we will be placing £10 on the outright win and £10 on each of the place markets for testing purposes. The User Experience

Another strong month on the Winner market & some significant profits on Top 5 places. A couple of notes for this month. Xander Schauffele was advised as a Outright Win only bet which is against the norm. Also the Tour Championship event at the end of the month had no Top 20 places market available on Betfair. Another successful month for Jimmy’s Golf. There was one week with slightly later selections due to Olympic scheduling. Aside from that it was business as usual with timely selections with prices easily obtainable on the exchanges. An interesting note at the halfway point of the trial… All of the profit is coming from the outright win part of each bet. We would have made more profit taking this bet only and leaving the place markets completely. We will see if this changes during the second half.

A solid month in June puts us firmly into profit overall. June saw a single outright winner & a steady increase in the number of placed bets. With that said we were actually in a negative until the final week of the month before Cam Davis took the Rocket Mortgage Classic priced at 70! Golf tournament betting is certainly the long game & if you get involved in this system you need to be prepared for this. A losing first month for Jimmy’s Golf on the exchanges unfortunately. We had 1 tournament winner priced at 43/1 and were in fact in profit until the final weekend. The selections were provided in a timely manor and placing them on the exchanges showed no issues at all. The service provided 47 selections and faired better against the bookmakers than the exchanges whichever place market you used. This is likely down to variations in then number of places offered by bookmakers for different events. For example some bookies offering 8 places at the same price we are getting just 5. Despite the losing month it is too early to make any assumptions. On the win market the odds we were able to get on the tournament winner significantly exceeded the bookmakers. So, if the service continues to achieve the results of the past 12 months we should expect a turnaround.
