A Football trading service that has won numerous awards from leading betting review sites. Offering a comprehensive football trading course for both newbies & professionals. Plus access to one of the largest football databases & guidance on how to use it to select successful trades.
With the Euros currently in progress & a sense of football fever sweeping the continent we return to the beautiful game for our next betting system review. Goal Profits has been around for some time & is a very well established name in the football trading space. It boasts numerous 5* ratings & sits on many a hall of fame with other reviewers. As it is designed to be used on Betfair it “should” be a perfect fit for us.
I do have my scepticism with other reviews of this type of service. Whilst other reviews are all positive I am unable to find one that provides any tested results of using the system. Many make the standard claim that results from trading as opposed to betting are subjective and entry & exit points will be different for each user but this does not stop you from sharing the results that the reviewer achieved. Many reviews are based on the course content that Goal Profits provide and the quality of their trading tools but this is worthless unless resulting trades end up in the green!
Up until recently, Goal Profits themselves did not show any results but Trader Tim Rouse recently joined the team and is sharing his results on the Goal Profits blog under the “Tim’s Diary” sections.
Steve Brown & Kevin Laverick are the professional traders behind the service and aim to support you through your football trading journey.
What the Goal Profits Service Provides
Goal Profits isn’t just a tipping service & actually provides a multitude of sub products…
Goal Profits Academy
The Goal Profits Academy is a comprehensive training course designed for both those who are new to football trading to those who just want to improve their game. The course content is very well written & is divided into modules allowing the reader to digest in smaller chunks. The training material tracks your progress making it extremely easy to pickup from where you left off. The content is split into the following core modules & further divided into individual lessons:
- Getting Started
- Bank Management
- Trade Research
- Live Trading
- Trading Strategies
- Trading Psychology
At any stage in your trading journey you are fully supported via email.
Trading Strategies & Shortlists
The trading strategies that the Goal Profits team use are provided in the training material for members to replicate into their own training. These are nicely linked to blog posts showing their use under real match scenarios. Additionally using the Team Stats tool (discussed later) you are presented with daily shortlists for each of the different strategies highlighting matches that have potential to be traded & that you should apply further research.
Research & Trading Tools
Goal Profits provides an abundance of tools for conducting trading research but the two key once to discuss are Team Stats & the Live Trading Module (LSM). Team Stats allows you to deep dive into every match for the next 7 days pulling out useful trading stats only to GP members. As the name suggests, LSM provides users with in play information to allow informed trading decisions whilst the action unfolds.
These are the core features of the Goal Profits service but there are many more. All services come with email support.
Goal Profits Pricing
Three pricing tiers are available for the Goal Profits service. A monthly package @ £39.95/mo, quarterly @ £99/qtr & annual @ £365/yr. Note that you get additional benefits if you take out the annual subscription such as a Pre-match trading tool & all Team Stats data provided in spreadsheet form via daily emails. If you would like to give the service a try you can take out a full 7 day trial for just £1.
Goal Profits Betting Exchange Trial Bank
Goal Profits Betting Exchange Trial Bank = £400
As Goal Profits is a trading service rather than betting, we can use a slightly smaller than usual betting bank and enter the markets with a higher percentage of the pot than with many of our other trials. This is because in most cases, despite the larger entry we are not risking the full stake & will cut the loss if things are not going our way. We will be using a £400 bank, entering the markets with £10 for most strategies (exceptions discussed in the following section).
The Goal Profits User Experience
Because the Goal Profits package is so broad it is difficult to cover all of the many different areas of the service. I will cover the two main features of the service now & then look at some of the other areas as the exchange trial commences.
Goal Profits Academy User Experience
This is your training course aimed at giving you everything you need to know to successfully trade football & to get you into the right mindset. The course is neatly defined into sections as shown below & then further sub divided into lessons. As you complete the lesson it marks off your completion percentage & allows you to save your progress & pickup from where you left off. The course cover everything from trading basics, bank management & use of the Goal Profits tools. Importantly, it is also the location for the trading strategies.
I have to say that the course is very well written. The football trading strategies is of course the bit that everyone wants to see. Each strategy section discusses everything from Entry & Exit points, how much to stake and how to select the right matches for each trade type. I like how at the end of each strategy lesson, it links to blog posts giving real match examples of how on a given trading day, a match was selected & a trade executed.
Team Stats Football Trading Database
Team Stats is the tool you will use to find suitable football matches to trade. It works by listing all matches for the next 7 days & then allowing you to apply filters to whittle them down to games you want to trade. It allows you to filter on areas like number of goals score by each team in each half over last 10 games or which teams have weak defences of strong attacks. You can look at how teams tend to perform when a goal up or a goal down. You can assess stats across the whole league, or look at stats for similar strength teams only. Team Stats gives you the ability to save filters that you create and will then present you with matches for that filter each day.
One of the interesting features of Team Stats is the strategy filters. There are set filters available for each of the Goal Profits strategies covered in the Goal Profits Academy. The provide you with shortlists for games that “might” be suitable for particular trade types. The team are keen to stress that these are shortlists & not selections & that extra research is need for each before they become picks. Team Stats is very easy to use & it won’t take you long before you are turning your ideas into match shortlists.
Goal Profits Trial Approach & Staking Method
Goal Profits member trade with many different trading strategies. Trialling them all would be too much. In order to get a feel for whether the programme works we will be testing 3 different GP strategies. 1x Correct Score, 1x First Half Goals & 1x Full Game Goals strategies. We will show the results for each strategy in our monthly reports.
In terms of staking we will consider 10% of our £400 bank (£20) 1 point. No more than 1 point will be risked on trade & where a strategy has multiple entry points the £20 point will be split.
To select our matches to trade we will be following the Goal Profits Academy guides to the letter. The GP Team Stats shortlists will be used in the first instance and then filtered using the suggested methods to get our games.
So, lets see if Goal Profits lives up to all the hype….
Goal Profits – Betting Exchange Trial Results
Below is a breakdown of our Goal Profits review results. This section will be updated monthly as the trial progresses.
October 2024 Results Update
Strategy | Trades | Wins | SR | P&L | Pts | Running Bank |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Correct Score | 2 | 1 | 50% | £10.67 | 1.07 | N/A |
First Half | 13 | 2 | 15% | -38.85 | -3.89 | N/A |
Full Match | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
Total | 15 | 3 | 20% | -28.18 | -2.82 | £971.82 |
We have had delayed start to our Goal Profits review but October sees us up & running. Our selection process follows the guidance of the Goal Profits Academy to the letter & it is clear that with just 3 of the strategies it does not produce a huge volume of selections, just 15. The Full Match strategy produced zero. We open up with a loss overall but despite this, the trades were easy enough to follow & we had no difficulties getting matched for either the entry or exit points.
